Audio Equipment

A good microphone for you is nice but not completely necessary. You will be doing a great deal of call-and-response during these lessons and you want to model a good trumpet sound, so use an external mic if you have one. There is no need to ask your students to use an external mic. Even the built-in microphone on an iPad is adequate for this

Bell Placement Playing your trumpet: Point your horn past the right side of your computer. This way, with the bell side of your horn facing the camera, the student will be able to see your fingers.
